Day 3 - Pendeen Lighthouse to Zennor

So Day 3 (last day of this segment) and to be honest if Linda was not encouraging me (some call it encouragement others bullying) I would not of done this walk today. The two previous days had taken their toll and I felt completely shattered, with every muscle in my legs screaming to let them rest.

But I struggled on and to be honest glad I did, as we had an amazing day, we had great weather and amazing views.
We decided to do this walk the other way around, as finishing at Pendeen would mean there is no Pub or Cafe whilst we wait for our lift. Where we knew at Zennor we had amenities to suit our needs.(PUB).

It did feel strange for a while having the sea to our left where in the last few days it was always off to the right but we soon got over that.

So with an aching and tired body we started walking.
This walk was to me, was the most strenuous but the one with the most breathtaking views.
The photos below can say more than my words.

Hot enough to be in a T-Shirt.

Plenty of wild life was along this route and I was lucky that I was paying attention as I nearly trod on this Adder which would not of ended well, for either of us.

We also met some daring ponies that did not seemed phased by the steep drops of the cliffs.

We also found a less famous stone circle. (photo below does not do it justice).

Linda also found the house of her dreams, I also appreciate it's isolation and view. But I would expect it's cost would be we beyond our means.

Home with a view and a private beach.
Just as we approached the last hard incline a group of about 6 men approached sporadically and asked "How long has it taken you to get here from Pendeen Lighthouse?" Linda replied we are slow (looking at me) but it had taken us 4 & 1/2 hours.
At this the guy looked horrified and as we left them could hear him relaying the time to others and the constant gasp of frustration say "How Long"! Linda and I found this most amusing as we had almost finished, but I am sure if someone had done that to me at the start I would of been exactly the same.

Eventually with me waning yet again, especially with the final push up a never ending hill including steep steps we made Zennor, Linda settled down to her frequently requested Cornish Cream Tea and I had one more pint of Boilers Cornish Gold.

An exhausted Steve (not so Linda) returned to Somerset the next day.
Not sure Where or When or next instalment will be.....but it will, watch this space.
